In 1998, the school was given the approval from the EDB to continue using English as the medium of instruction (EMI). Since then, all subjects except Biblical Knowledge, Chinese History, Chinese Language, Liberal Studies, Health Education and Putonghua have been taught using English.

The school aims to provide an authentic English environment for students. Various support programmes are organized to help them adapt to the use of English in learning and boost their English proficiency. The English Corner, English Reading Schemes, English tutorial classes, the English Ambassadors Scheme, Toastmaster Youth Leadership Programme, Gopher Science Lab and overseas study tours are some of these activities.
