Visit to Our Sister School - Shenzhen Ping Shan High School

2024-03-29 Mar, 2024

A group of student leaders recently embarked on a remarkable journey to our sister school, Shenzhen Ping Shan High School. The two-day visit, from 28 March to 29 March, was filled with enriching experiences, educational insights, and unforgettable memories.

Upon arrival at the School, our students were warmly welcomed by their Chinese counterparts. The first day commenced with an insightful lesson on Chinese classic writing. It was an excellent opportunity for both schools to exchange ideas and gain a deeper understanding of different educational systems.

The visit also provided an opportunity for our students to explore the expansive campus of Ping Shan High School. The campus visit offered a glimpse into the daily life of the Chinese students, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared experiences.

Beyond the school grounds, our students had the privilege of exploring two Chinese cultural scenic spots, Dongjiang Column Memorial and the Wanshi Habitat, as well as a bustling night market. These excursions provided an opportunity to delve into the rich history and diverse traditions of China.

The following day, our students embarked on an eye-opening visit to Qianhai Shengang Dream Workshop, where they learned about how Hong Kong teenagers can start their businesses with the support of the Hong Kong government and Shenzhen. This unique insight into the entrepreneurial spirit of the region left our students feeling inspired and motivated to explore their own potential.

To further deepen their understanding of the natural environment in Shenzhen, our students visited a mangrove habitat. They were able to witness the delicate ecological balance of this unique ecosystem and gain a greater appreciation for the importance of environmental conservation.

Overall, this visit proved to be a transformative experience for our students. Not only did they learn more about our sister school and Chinese culture, but they also formed lasting friendships and established stronger bonds with the students of Ping Shan High School. The cultural exchange provided them with a broader perspective of the world and ignited their curiosity to explore and embrace different cultures.
