The National and Civic Education Committee at our school invited a guest speaker from Feeding Hong Kong to give a talk on food poverty during the assembly period for Secondary 1 to 5 students.

After the assembly, the National and Civic Education Committee coordinated with the community Youth Club (CYC) in our school to organize a Hunger Banquet for the entire Secondary 2 form. Approximately 120 students participated in this activity.

During the Hunger Banquet, students took part in two interesting class-based competition games and enjoyed a light lunch to experience how weather affects farming harvests. Students can also experience poverty and hunger and learn the importance of valuing food. The students actively participated in both games, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

After completing the games, the students had a light lunch consisting of a banana and two slices of bread. This helped them understand the value of the food they have.
