On 30 September 2026, we were honoured to welcome back distinguished alumna Miss Rannes Man, a professional in artificial intelligence, to deliver an inspiring assembly titled ‘Vision Building’.

During her sharing, Rannes reflected on how her formative years at CDG established the foundation for her professional journey. She noted that identifying her true passion was a gradual process requiring exploration across various roles to align with her long-term aspirations. A central theme of her presentation was the importance of overcoming self-doubt and venturing beyond one’s comfort zone.

Drawing on her extensive background in video production, Rannes also conducted an engaging interactive demonstration. She invited students to the stage, offering practical guidance on mobile camera angles and shot framing.

Turning to the impact of technology, Rannes offered a compelling perspective: artificial intelligence should serve as a tool to enhance human capability rather than replace core human values.

In closing, she encouraged Carmelians to approach challenges with curiosity, emphasising that every experience contributes to personal and future growth. She reminded the fellow schoolmates that mistakes are essential steps in the learning process and expressed her hope that every Carmelian will pursue their vision-building journey with courage and conviction.
