From 16 to 20 July 2026, over 30 students from S.1 to S.4 took part in an interdisciplinary study tour to Seoul, co-organised by the History, Geography, and Economics departments. Across five action-packed days, students stepped beyond their textbooks to bring classroom knowledge to life through immersive field studies.

To explore History, the group visited the War Memorial of Korea and the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ), gaining a deeper insight into the legacy of the Korean War and the enduring value of peace through historic military exhibits and underground tunnels. For Geography, students explored the inspiring sustainable development and visited the Mapo Resource Recovery Plant and Haneul Park, observing firsthand how a former landfill site was transformed into an eco-park and clean energy hub.

In terms of Economics, students toured the Samsung Innovation Museum and the Korea Exchange (KRX) to study the nation’s technological evolution and financial market operations. They also gained hands-on experience as news anchors and voice actors at the KBS Broadcasting Station, learning how creative media and culture propel economic growth. To round off the experience, students immersed themselves in modern Korean life and culinary traditions by strolling along the Han River, wearing traditional Hanbok, rolling their own gimbap, and sampling local delicacies.

This study tour not only broadened our students' global horizons but also seamlessly connected interdisciplinary learning with real-world context, leaving everyone with rich and unforgettable memories.
