4C Wu Sin Yi won a Bronze Award in the 2022-2023 National Essay Writing Competition (Hong Kong), organized by The Hong Kong Institute for the Promotion of Chinese Culture. The competition had the theme of "Listening to the Sound of the World" (傾聽世界的聲音), and it attracted participation from 201 secondary schools in Hong Kong. The Awards Ceremony took place on 14th October 2023 at the Hong Kong Central Library in Causeway Bay.

The topic of Wu Sin Yi's essay was "Silence and Sound" (無聲與有聲), which explored the importance of listening with the heart. Her essay was of excellent quality and received high appreciation from the judges.
